The Hospice
The Hospice provides the following services to our community free of charge.
In an average week:
- 8 patients, their relatives and carers receive care in our In-Patient Unit.
- 50 patients attend Day Hospice
- Community McMillan nurses visit 30 patients in their own homes
- Volunteer drivers transport to 80 patients
- 40 visitors use the drop-in advice centre
- 20 patients receive specialist Lymphoedema treatment
We also provide:
- Education for professionals caring for those who are living with cancer
- Bereavement support for relatives
- A non-denominational Chaplaincy service
